DESCRIPTION:2ND ANNUAL JANES ISLAND PADDLEFEST\n\n7:30 am. Janes Island Sta
 te Park is excited to be planning another\npaddle event chocked full of fu
 n activities including guided paddles\,\npoker run paddle\, campfire on th
 e water\, food\, music\, pontoon boat\nrides\, coastal clean-up\, children
 ’s activities\, nature crafts and\nmore!  For experienced paddlers\, th
 ere will be a “Janes Island\nChallenge”. This challenge consists of a 
 13-mile paddle\,\ncircumnavigating Janes Island. It is not a race and for 
 non-motorized\nvessels only. Must register to participate to receive the c
 hallenge\ncompletion token (Note- This challenge is weather dependent and 
 not\nrecommended for novice paddlers due to open water and swift currents)
 \nThis is a free event\, however\, registration is required for logistical
 \npurposes. Activities begin at 7:30 ​​a.m. on Saturday\, June 1\,\n20
 24. Anyone who wishes to camp at Janes Island State Park can make\ncamping
  reservations online at parkreservations.maryland.gov or by\ncalling 1-888
 -432-2267. Also\, there are local motels and airbnb\noptions available.\n\
