ns in the nation.\nThe New Year’s Eve Midnight Muskrat Dive is hosted by
Main Street\nPrincess Anne\, in center of the historic district of Prince
ss Anne\,\nMD. \n\nA quirky celebration of local food\, culture and tradit
ions\, the\nfeatured star is Marshall Muskrat\, a dapper taxidermied roden
t decked\nin a deep green felt top hat and a pale green silk cape\, colors
\nreminiscent of the hues of the marsh habitat that surrounds the Town\nof
Princess Anne and extends throughout Somerset County. Fresh local\noyster
s\, Smith Island cake and party favors will be available for all\nattendee
s\, at no cost. The evening will offer dancing in the street\,\ngames\, ta
rot readings\, face painting and - at midnight- a sparkling\ncider toast
as the town’s beloved Marshall Muskrat dives into 2025\nfrom atop a 30-f
t tall contraption\, engineered by local maker and NASA\nengineer Jim Leet
her. It will be memorable\, for sure. The band\, A\nBreath Of Fresh Air\,
will play throughout the evening. Between sets a\nDJ will play popular lin
e dance songs and more. \n\nMain Street manager Carrie Samis announced\,
“this year\, three\ndowntown restaurants - Sugar Water\, Sisters With A
Twist and CROPA\nStation - will be open and offering special menus. Attend
ees are\nencouraged to bring chairs and tents to set up ‘tailgate-style\
,’\ndowntown\, and invite family\, friends and neighbors to join the\npa
rty.” There will be opportunities for photos with Marshall Muskrat\nand\
