Smith Island Inn

Owner yelled at my girlfriend on the phone when we asked for a refund due to weather making it impossible to get to the island.

Told us he would give us a ride in his boat but changed his mind last minute, never sent confirmation email, and hung up on us when we tried calling to figure out a solution.

Be warned, this guy is a jerk and is completely unwilling to compromise when there are unexpected circumstances. Extremely disrespectful

Stayed 2 nights for our 36th wedding anniversary. Room was very cozy. Bed was comfortable. Sarah was terrific answering questions and giving suggestions. Waffles and bacon one morning and eggs and sausage the other.
Bikes and kayaks provided was a huge plus. We paddled to Tylerton. Great weekend!

After staying in another bed and breakfast with a less than ideal experience on the Island, we decided to return and give the Smith Island Inn a try! It did not disappoint. The place is super clean and Ellie is amazing! We were picked up at the dock after her husband brought us over on his ferry boat. The other boat captain literally tried to get us to ride the wrong boat from the other bed and breakfast! We spent the day biking, kayaking, and watching the sunset. Gorgeous unspoiled views! Ellie made us an amazing breakfast including some of her homemade treats. She provided plenty of guidance and suggestions. Donna, the neighbor, made us an amazing meal and Jennifer brought our cake right to the Inn! They were both delightful! Best cake on the Island! We are so happy we returned to Smith Island and found the incredible Smith Island Inn! It's a must stay place everyone should experience, we plan to come again soon!
