Full Moon

The Full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time. Bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing a larger and more impressive set as the years go by. The biggest full Moon of the year occurs as the “Super Buck Moon” on July 13, 2022. Why? The Moon orbits Earth in a slightly elliptical or egg-shaped orbit so there’s always going to be one full Moon per year that’s the closest.
