Captain Pat was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the local history as well as Chesapeake Bay history and we learned a lot about the area that we didn't know before. He is also fun and spirited and made our trip very memorable. We saw some of the BEST sunsets ever!

We stayed for a weekend on Smith Island.
While there, we booked both a Sunset Charter and also Guided Kayak Tours with 3 Knots Marine.
From our first phone call, we were given such great information that was not found online and we were made to feel very welcome!
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history. We got to see parts of the island we wouldn’t have without their help including a hidden beach.
Before each tour Capt Pat started with safety tips, which made us feel really comfortable.
The renovations are so well done, and the facilities are kept really clean!

It was a pleasure taking a sunset cruise with Captain Patrick of 3 Knots Marina. After discussing several options, we chose to visit Solomons Lump Lighthouse to watch the sun set. The boat ride was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Captain Patrick filled the trip with historical facts regarding the Oyster wars, the Hannibal target ship, Chesapeake & Delaware Freight Shipping Canal (C&D Canal), along with many other historic details. All in all, the sunset was beautiful. I would recommend 3 Knots wide variety of services if you are ever visiting Smith Island.
