Skipjack Heritage Museum

Several months ago, I delivered a mobile storage container to the Skipjack Heritage Museum and had the opportunity to take a tour—and I have to say, it was an absolutely spectacular experience.
The tour was incredible from start to finish. The depth of history they’ve preserved is impressive, with authentic tools, equipment, and photographs that truly bring the story of Somerset County watermen to life. Seeing actual skipjacks and learning about their role in the region made it even more meaningful.
This museum is truly a hidden gem on the Eastern Shore. It offers a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else, whether you’re a local or just visiting the area.
I highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance—you won’t be disappointed!

It's a nice small museum. I'm not big on water and water history. But the number of boat models they have its very educational.
