I've been wanting to purchase a Smith island cake for a long time. Finally got the opportunity to purchase a world famous cake. The bakery location is perfect. I had been visiting family on Smith Island and after landing on Crisfield, MD, the thought suddenly came to me, get a Smith Island cake to go. I was not disappointed... YUM YUM YUM... and to my surprise, the young lady that assisted me let me know that there were several enticing flavors. So exciting! After much consideration I chose the cake with the raspberry layers... so right... the young lady that assisted me let me know that the cakes are fully cooked and frozen. I informed her that I would reach my destination in approximately 3 hours. She removed a lot of the packing to help with the thawing process. By the time I arrived home, the cake was still a little frozen but by 5pm, dessert for dinner was just right. It was just right... some in my family are finicky with their desserts and the raspberry Smith Island cake was a hit! Nocked it out of the park! between the tart flavor of the raspberry and the sweet smoothness of the chocolate... so comforting... lots of smiles and happiness all around... Thank you for the high quality of your cakes and kuddos to the young lady that assisted me in selecting the perfect cake for my family... I ordered and had shipped to Titusville Pa. a Double chocolate cake from Smith Island baking company for my Aunt Marges 75th Birthday. It arrived on time, was packed perfectly and even included The History of the cake for her to read. My Aunt was so surprised and Happy. She loved the flavor and said how good it tasted. Thank you for helping make my Aunts Birthday extra special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve always liked a smith island cake but never went crazy over them, then I tried the coconut one last holiday season and it was fantastic. I had to pick up dessert for a housewarming and saw they had a lemon cake available on Goldbelly, so I figured why not.

This cake was a huge hit. Everybody loved it and kept asking where it came from. It’s lemony and tart but not overly sweet. It is exactly what you want in a lemon cake. I’ll be ordering it again.
