July 4th Weekend Fun on Smith Island
July 5 Kickball and Scavenger Hunt
July 6, 5 p.m. Parade and Celebration
A full lineup of fun is waiting for you on Smith Island, thanks to the Ewell Volunteer Fire Department! The Fourth of July celebration starts on Friday, July 5, with a rousing game of kickball and a scavenger hunt. On Saturday, July 6, decorate your car, golf cart, or bicycle and join the parade, starting at 5 p.m. Following the parade, “Best in Show” will be named at the 4th of July Celebration, which will also feature music by resident DJ Magic Steve, food, games, and fireworks.
Sandcastle and Sea Glass Festival
July 5, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Somers Cove Marina, Crisfield, MD
Gather up your shovels and sand tools for a day of sandcastle building! View the eight-foot demonstration sandcastle as you master your own structure! This event is free and features family-friendly activities, music, sea glass art, and vendors!
Stars and Stripes Festival and Fireworks Display
July 6, 4 to 9 p.m.
Somers Cove Marina and Crisfield City Dock
Join us for a spectacular fireworks display on the water at the Crisfield City Dock! Liven up your 4th of July weekend with us and enjoy the fireworks, food vendors, and live music! This family-friendly event is free, thanks to the Crisfield American Legion #16, Somerset County Arts Council, Somers Cove Marina, and the Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District.
