Crisfield Heritage Foundation in Somerset County is hosting the inaugural Crisfield Heritage Festival this Saturday, October 15th! The festival has free admission and will be held from 11 AM to 4:30 PM behind the J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum and Somers Cove Marina in town.
In Somerset County, we can’t wait for this new annual event to celebrate and showcase the Chesapeake Bay culture of Crisfield! All are welcome to enjoy the festival with activities, entertainment, demonstrations, delicious food, vendors, and much more. Mark your calendars to come out and show support!

Kids’ Activities
Your kids will have a blast with opportunities just for them at the festival! Have them dive into their creative side with painting, sand art, and boat building. They can join in on the relay races and scavenger hunt or embrace the Chesapeake culture by seeing what they can catch in the fishing pond.
Demonstrations
The demonstrations will display skills of all kinds for festival guests to learn and experience. Whether it’s crab pot making, fish cleaning, oyster shucking, crab picking, or baking a Smith Island cake, you’ll want to take notes from the professionals in Somerset County!
Exhibits
Browse the exhibits and vendors full of Eastern Shore charm. Check out the model boats, a variety of paintings, duck decoys, the fish market, and much more.
First Annual Legacy & Third Annual Heritage Awards
The Crisfield Heritage Foundation will also be announcing the recipients of the First Annual Legacy Award and Third Annual Heritage Awards during the festival. The awards recognize individuals or organizations who have made a significant impact on the Crisfield community.
